Woman Restated

Woman Restated is a blog for women and men who stand up against stereotypes and ask questions. We want to understand what being a woman means to people, regardless of their gender.

We want to explore historical, sociological, psychological and biological aspects of womanhood through simple things like movies, books, journals, art, food and cooking, beauty and fitness, fashion, geography, and foreign cultures, inspiring people, inventions, poetry, performance, and so much more.

We want to portray positive and accepting, independent contemporary womanhood and femininity. We want women to be who they are and work hard to become who they desire to be.

The idea behind Woman Restated? Be respectful of the differences between us, observe the whole spectrum and embrace it with love. Motto? If you’re lonely when you’re alone, it means you’re in bad company by Jean-Paul Sartre.

Hi, my name is Kat and I am the creator of Woman Restated. I am an architectural designer and translator from Poland, currently living in Canada. In the last four years, I have lived and worked in three different countries on four continents. I’m vegan and I enjoy boxing workouts.

This blog came into being as a gift from me to me – for my 30th birthday coming up in roughly ten months as of August 2019. I want to delve into the idea of positive womanhood, into the warm and accepting depths of the independent contemporary woman that I am, get grounded in it and truly understand what it means.

As an architectural designer, I enjoy everything aesthetic and smart. Here you’ll also find everything I found beautiful.

I love traveling, and I hope you will come along with me. One day, I would like to visit the oldest settlements in Mexico, learn to surf in Florida, spend a month traveling through Russia in a Transsiberian train, and admire the natural beauty of New Zealand.
